1920's
This was the decade where movies had really taken off. People were absolutely fascinated with the idea of moving pictures. They were so amazed, that at times they would run away thinking that a train on the screen was really there in real life! The only downside to all the excitement was that the technology wasn't as advanced yet to include sound, referring to this movie decade as the 'Silent Era' (even though near its end, sound did come into the picture). Sound had been fully incorporated into movies by now and had become widely popular. Movies grew longer, stories more animated, and plot lines more intense.
